Listing this item for my father, contact information is below. What you are about to bid on is a barn fresh 1946 Ford, two door, sedan WITH CLEAR TITLE!! Wouldn’t it be great to go to a car show and actually have room for the kids? Plenty of trunk space for all those lawn chairs and coolers the wife forces you to take! This is definitely one of the best examples of a barn fresh find. Throw the kids, the wife, the dog, and grandma in the back and have a blast cruising all night! Too many projects and a need for more storage room forces the sale of this vehicle. Pictures say a lot but here are some details. Engine: Ford V8 Flat head (Not running). With the exception of the air cleaner it appears to be complete and could be the original engine. I have not had the opportunity to check the block numbers, or to see if the engine is seized. Engine still has the generator! Body: Floors are in great condition, the body is straight, and the stainless trim is excellent. There some minor blemishes on the emblems but overall great condition. Tires do hold air and it rolls freely especially for a 3500 lbs car. Interior: The Interior is in useable condition and still has the original radio and all gauges. Time has caused some cosmetic damage on the plastic trim around the gauges. No carpet or headliner and the door panels are in good shape. Trunk cannot be opened due to missing rear latch (I have already checked it for hidden treasure with a flashlight and can see it has a spare tire). You often see these restored as a squad/patrol car! Here is some bit of info I found on the net about this style and type of car- “When peace finally broke out at the end of WWII it was time for the auto manufactures to re-tool from the swords of military production to the plowshares of personal transportation. Ford, like most of the other car builders at the time, dusted off the existing 1942 tooling, went to work on simple trim and grill facelifts and started spitting out as many "new" 1946 models as possible. With no new cars for over four years, the public was snapping up anything that was available. Government agency's were also limping along on well worn vehicles and, at times, were able to get priority over the public.†These old cars are getting more and more scarce. This old Ford deserves a good home and will make a sweet ride some day. Now for the legal Stuff NO PAY PAL. Reserve is low so bid often. No tire kickers please. This car is sold as is where-is and must be moved by early November. $500.00 dollar deposit or total amount is due within 7 days after close of auction. I will hold car until full amount has cleared my bank (usually ten days for personal checks). I will take personal check but prefer bank draft, money order, or cashiers check and cash is always welcome. I am able to store the car until first week of November if need be. You are welcome to inspect the car before you bid. Price is not negotiable after auction closes. I have described this car to the best of my ability. I do not have the ability to deliver the car. This car is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please be aware of scams you will not receive a second chance bid from me. For more info please contact my dad, Larry Knight at (231) 271-6987 (8am till 6pm). Or, send email through this listing. I have many more pics available to serious bidders. The car is located in Suttons Bay, Mi. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! It is a little early but, Happy 233rd Birthday Marines! Semper Fi!
