NEW AMERICAN BOSCH ½ HP 12-120V 640 WATT DC MOTOR/WIND GENERATORALL MOTORS ARE TESTED ON A DC VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL BEFORE SHIPMENT. GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE IN WORKING CONDITION AND BRAND NEW.I have MANY of these motors so if you want multiple ones let me know. Also, I have a lot more technical information on this motor : (1) A torque vs. rpm chart, (2) A amps vs torques chart, and (3) A schematic diagram of how to wire this up. So send me a message if you want me to send you this data. High quality, heavy duty bronze sleeve bearings. Face mount with two 1/4" diameter, 4-5/8" long bolts on 2.53" centers through the length of the motor housing. The end of the shaft is threaded 5/16"-18 x 5/16" long left hand thread. See photos to get a very clear idea about the size and shape of the motor. There are multiple ways that you can mount to the shaft (see photos). It is a high quality motor that will run strong at continuous duty. Or use it as a generator. Either way, it is reliable. This is a brand new American Bosh 640 watt DC Motor/Generator.This generator will produce 12V at 1,000 RPM. 24V at 2000 RPM. Perfect for small scale wind generation and using on a mill or lathe. I mounted one of these on my Taig mill using a variable speed control and it works perfectly. At 10,000 RPM you will get approximately 120 volts DC and 1/2 horsepower. This motor/generator will produce ½ HP at 120 volts as a motor. It is capable of running on less than 4V DC. SPECIFICATIONS 12/120 VDC 10,000 RPM @ 120 VDC 5.5 Amps Reversible rotation Cont. duty Shaft 12mm dia. x 2-3/4" w/ two flats & threaded end 50 in.-oz. torque Size 3" O.D. x 7-1/4 I do have dc variable speed (PWM) controls that mate very nicely with this motor. Contact me if you are interested in one and I will explain the details. If you want one, I will wire it all up so that it is "turn key". Just the plug the speed control into the outlet in your house (120 ac) and you control the speed of your motor. Lastly, if you would like me to wire this up with a heatsink and a rectifier so that you can run this motor directly off of 120 ac (i.e. straight from the outlet in your house), I can do this for an extra 20 bucks. This will run the dc motor at 120 vdc at 5.5 amps (i.e full power) straight from your ac wall outlet. It should be noted that running the motor in this way, will not allow you to control the speed of the motor. It is either "on" or "off". If not, the motor will work absolutely fine running off of your dc supply source or using it as a generator. Let me know at check out if you want me to do this for you. The red dotted line in photo #2 does not show up very well after uploading onto ebay. It shows the diameter of the motor housing which is 3 inches. With every motor purchased, I am now including a left hand threaded nut for the motor shaft (5/16 inch, 18 threads per inch). These are difficult to find as they are threaded the opposite direction of normal nuts. It will work great for mounting a hub (wind generator application) or a pulley (lathe/mill application).
